A Leap Of Faye

What’s the biggest risk you’ve ever taken? Really think about it. Is there something you really want to do or have always wanted to do but have always been too afraid?

A fabulous quote I heard not so long ago…..’Sometimes the smallest step in the right direction ends up being the biggest step of your life. Tip toe if you must, but take the step’.

What is it you’re afraid of? Failing? It not working out like you had planned?

Well ill say it……So what! You can always redirect if it’s not what you thought, but I’m 100% sure it will go exactly to plan. No one would ever achieve anything great by not taking a risk now and then.

Working in spa’s was a beautiful experience, but I really felt that clients were not getting the attention they deserved. It was like a conveyer belt…one in one out. Working like this makes a therapist stressed and clock watch which in turn makes it a not so nice experience for the client having the treatment. They feel rushed and feel like the therapist’s heart really isn’t in it. All the therapists out there who want to do an amazing job and make people feel completely at peace during and after the treatments will know exactly what I mean.

That’s when I made the decision to take a big leap of faith and start working for myself. It was a scary thought and as I made the decision I wondered if I would succeed? Would it work out? We decided to give it a year and see how it went. As soon as I put myself out there and did it, I knew I was heading in the right direction and that this was going to be amazing. The ability to really listen and care for a client is so very special. As I’ve said 100 times everyone has such busy lives, taking care of family and friends. Everyone needs a time out where it is their turn to be looked after. I am lucky enough that working for myself I can do that for my clients. I have the time, the passion to really put all that I have into a treatment…and no clock watching!!! Hoorah! :-)

It is now a year on from the big leap of faith, did I make the right decision? Did it work out like id planned? 100% YES!! Every day I feel blessed to do a job that I love and to help others. Because I really believe that what I do can help you and your health and wellbeing.

So my advice to you would be GO FOR IT!! Whether it’s starting your own business, going travelling, moving away. Life is way too short, and I don’t know about you but I’d certainly rather regret something I’ve done, than something I haven’t done. Even if it’s just the smallest step, it will DEFINETLY be worth it. I promise.

As I am about to embark on a new adventure…..becoming a mum. :-) I feel excited at where my life and career path is leading me. Because when you take a leap of faith and just trust yourself, you know everything will work out and will be better than you could have ever imagined. So tip toe if you must but take that step.

Don’t ever be scared.

Lots of love Faye x x x
